Located in close proximity to the scenic River Dart, as well as the charming towns of Dartmouth and Brixham, this accommodation offers easy access to the region’s natural beauty and cultural attractions. The property is part of two buildings which house a pub, there is also a pub just 50 yards to the right of the property and a lovely wine bar 50 yards to the left of the property, with all three offering great food and drinks.

From our elevated spot on Higher Street, you step out of the front door and enjoy sweeping river views, easy access to Kingswear pubs, cafés and ferries, plus a peaceful retreat after exploring South Hams beaches, coastal path and the busier towns of Dartmouth and Brixham

Perfect stay
We spent a week in Captain’s Lockyer and really enjoyed our time there. The flat is clean, tidy, warm, fully equipped and very comfortable. We travelled by public transport, using ferries and buses for trips to Dartmouth, Brixham and Paignton and had two lovely walks to Greenway and Coleton Fishacre. The Petite Pantry and general store are very convenient for supplies and there are several places to eat within yards of the flat, including the Ebb and Flow coffee bar, The Steam Packet pub and an excellent fish and chip kiosk, only open on Fridays.Beautiful cottage, spotless and so well equipped. We loved watching the boats on the Dart and strolling down to the ferry each day.

Good local Access
Staying Kingswear side of the water is more peaceful than Dartmouth side which is nice if thats what you want. Trip over to Dartmouth via pasenger ferry 2 mins walk away is £5 return each time or you can bulk purchase tickets to bring cost down if staying more than a few days. Parking at Marina car park few minutes walk is £11 per day. Couple of pubs (one of them back onto cottage) locally and easy acces to Dartmouth railway. Great for walks locally but very hilly!! Love coming back to Dartmouth each year.Fantastic base for exploring Dartmouth and the South Hams. Peaceful at night, with pubs, coastal walks and beaches all an easy trip away.

The Perfect Getaway
Great property, cosy, clean and comfortable, would stay again, highly recommended! Excellent location in Kingswear, close to the pubs and ferry to Dartmouth. Very comfortable, clean, well fitted out property, has everything that you need and more. Not really any direct acces to outside the property for cars, so its a bit of a schlep carrying bags to the end of the little road, but not really a problem for us. Just something to be aware of for any mobility isues. Also parking is a bit of a walk away, but again not a problem for us.
