About Captain's Lockyer

Captain's Lockyer is a spacious, elegant ground-floor holiday apartment in the heart of Kingswear, a riverside village on the eastern bank of the River Dart in South Devon. It sleeps two, with a king-size bedroom, a separate dining room, a well-equipped kitchen and a walk-in shower room, all set within a characterful historic building a few steps from the ferries, the steam railway and the South West Coast Path.

This website is the apartment's home online. Here you can explore the rooms and gallery, read about Kingswear and Dartmouth, follow our favourite local walks, and find everything you need to plan your stay. Bookings are handled securely through Cottages.com, and booked guests get a private guest information page with arrival tips and house details.

It's for couples and anyone looking for a peaceful base to explore the Dart Valley: walkers, food lovers, sailing fans, steam railway enthusiasts, and people who simply want to watch the boats go by with a cup of tea. One small, well-behaved dog is welcome too.

Captain's Lockyer is owned and cared for by Caroline and Dave. The apartment means a great deal to Caroline personally, and together they built this site to share the places they love most, from riverside pubs to coastal paths, so every guest can make the most of this special corner of Devon.
