Kingswear to the Daymark

Pick up the South West Coast Path right from Kingswear and follow it out along the eastern side of the estuary, with views back across to Dartmouth and the castle.

The path rises and falls through woods and fields before reaching the Daymark, a tall stone tower built as a landmark for ships finding the river mouth.

There are a few steep sections, so bring proper shoes. Then back to the village for a well-earned pint.
